Gold Class
admin | October 5, 2008On Thursday night, Mandy and I had the opportunity to attend the mock-opening for Levy’s newest venture, that being a partnership with Village Roadshow to create the food experience for Gold Class Cinemas - a concept that originally started in Australia and is now rolling out in the states. The first location is in South Barrington here near Chicago, with other locations planned in LA, Seattle, New York, and others…
The concept is brilliant…a high-end movie theatre with plush, comfortable seating (they even bring you blankets!) Full food and beverage before and throughout the movie (they have call-buttons on your chair for the waiter to come down) and an expansive bar that looks like it belongs at the W hotel and has an immaculate wine and beer list…Truly VIP service from the second you walk in the door (oh, there’s Valet parking too…)
It’s a little bit of a drive out there (about a half hour) but certainly worthwhile for such a one-of-a-kind experience. Can’t wait to go back!
